A little bit of irony...and a tiara, too!

Look what came in the mail!
We traveled thousands of miles to see this and guess what will be approximately 90 minutes away from us this fall?? The wedding gown, the tiara, more dresses...I will definitely be in Philadelphia in October...probably with mom and grandmom in tow! Anyone else interested in a princessy day?
On other fronts...the start of school was exciting. It was great seeing all the kids on Thursday and Friday and working with many new teachers! :)

Food for Thought

We found this poster at the Imperial War Museum in London. It was apparently very visible throughout the city during the Second World War reminding the Londoners to stay strong despite being bombed for 57 consecutive nights. We are planning to frame it and hang it in our home. For me, as an extremely type A individual, we thought this might be an appropriate reminder to keep things in perspective! :)

An apple (or two) for teacher!

Summer is winding down, and the back to school commercials are all over t.v. It's such an exciting time of year. I love this time of summer and all the possibility the year holds... the smell of newly waxed floors, opening up brand new school supplies and getting ready for all the new little faces with whom we create the learning opportunities. I can't wait! :)

Thanks, Mom!

My mom graciously gave us her kitchen table, chairs, dishes, and Amish hutch which I have been coveting for a long time. Thanks, Mom!! What this really means is that I am now hosting every holiday and event...my mother is a very smart woman. *smile*

Baltimore Restaurant Week

Melissa, Jen, Jillian, and I really enjoyed Pazo on Monday night. Delicious tapas, great atmosphere, and we totally helped stimulate the economy. Can't wait to get together again soon!
