The river cruise gave us some great views of the City of Lights. We cruised along listening to La Vie en Rose. Paris is truly just how you picture it!

The day in Paris concluded with a whirlwind trip to the Louvre. The glass pyramids are so beautiful! It was incredibly crowded, but our tour guide got us in quickly and navigated us directly to the most famous pieces. Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, and, of course, the Mona Lisa. It was amazing! To stand and see some of the most beautiful pieces of artwork is awe-inspiring. This is definitely on the agenda for next time. As our lovely tour guide, Charlotte says, "Next time, you spend zee week in Paree and only one day in London!"

It was a wonderful week in two of the most beautiful cities in the world. We were blessed with traveling mercies the whole way and are grateful for such an amazing honeymoon experience. We are already talking about heading back over soon! These are just a few of the hundreds of pictures we took. We can't wait to catch up with all of you!

Greetings from London!

It is hard to believe but we are nearing the end of our "brilliant" honeymoon. The week has flown by! We have some great pictures to add to the blog when we get home. Highlights so far: St. Paul's Cathedral (where Princess Diana married Prince Charles - I stood on those same steps!!!), Tower of London, Althorp (27 Diana dresses and the wedding gown - Ross was a trooper!), Imperial War Museum, navigating the Tube with ease, Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Warwick Castle, Stratford, Oxford, Big Ben , Parliament, the London Eye - whew! Tomorrow is Paris and Tuesday we arrive back in the states. We are already planning the next trip back and Ross admitted he would live here! He also ate a tomato! Who knew? See everyone soon!

Countdown to the Big Honeymoon!

After a little bit of passport drama (it seems I legally changed my name on every document except my passport) which allowed me to spend a beautiful day at the Philadelphia Customs House (think MVA on steroids), we are now just days away from our long awaited, much anticipated trip. A little last minute change will enable us to spend the final day of our honeymoon in Paris with a champagne lunch at the Eiffel Tower (oh la la!). ;) The summer is flying by and we enjoyed the Bel Air Fourth of July parade and seeing the fireworks from our backyard! We are hoping to be able to update the blog while we are away...stay tuned. Cherrio!

Foggy London Town

Our countdown has begun...we leave for London in just 7 weeks! Woo hoo! Picadilly Circus, Harrods, Mayfair, Kensington Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Rose and Crown, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, Althorp, Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace, Bath, Parliament, driving on the "wrong"side of the road...and so much more. London in July... ahh, bliss! We can't wait!

It's been some time since our last post. We've celebrated birthdays, Easter, Mother's Day, and Memorial Day. We are coming up on our one year anniversary as homeowners on May 30th. It's hard to believe! Check back soon for house pictures. We did some planting this weekend - thanks, Mom! We are gearing up to do some work with the shrubs around the house in the next few weeks. Spring is flying by, but we're ready for summer!

The fairy tale continues!

Okay, I am being a little facetious with this blog title, but I have to admit, the past two months really have been great. Ross and I are both enjoying married life and things have been busy so I got a little behind on the blog. These photos have been in my inbox waiting to be posted for a few weeks now!

These pictures were actually taken during the winter break immediately following our wedding. They chronicle the days of writing thank you notes, finding a home for all of our lovely gifts, unpacking and generally settling in! As I upload these pictures and look around now, two months later, I can't believe how different everything looks. We'll take some more pictures this weekend and update the blog, so you can get a true picture of life on Eastern Avenue today!

The past few weeks have brought us time to finish projects and open our home to friends! Our most recent home improvements included painting our bathroom over MLK weekend (I did this one and am quite proud - since we all know painting, and patience, are not my best virtues!) and sanding the basement floor over President's Day weekend. We now also have a full pantry thanks to Ross' hard work and curtains in our bedroom and kitchen - thanks Mom!!

A few weekends ago, we met some neighbors who admitted they were curious to see the inside of our home. Our neighbor, Miss Mary, was eager to give us the run down of the history of our 63 year old home and could not have been more complimentary of the work we've done these past 9 months! Ross and I were just talking about how anxious we are for warmer weather so that we can tackle some of our outside projects and have a true housewarming with all of our dear friends!

After attending manyPampered Chef parties, I was able to open my home to good friends to host one of my own. We laughed and shopped, and ate...what could be better? And this past Saturday, my family, Miss Laurie, Miss Loretta, Jen, and Miss Bonnie all tried our hand at Bunco! More laughing, and eating - shopping replaced by rolling dice...again, what could be better?

Life is good!

December 26th was a perfect day! Ross and I enjoyed time with family and friends and we are thrilled to begin the next chapter in our life together. We appreciate all the love and prayers from everyone who helped us celebrate. Looking forward to London in July!
